The New York Rangers continued their playoff push with a dominant win over rival Philadelphia. After losing the first game of the 2 game set, the Rangers answered back by scoring 4 against the Flyers. All 4 Ranger goals came on the power play and while their play on the power play has improved they are still ranked 28th in that category. The highlight of the game was the elevated play of LW Sean Avery, in what was ultimately his best game of the season. His two goals and firery play sparked the Rangers to their 36th victory and put them in a tie with Montreal at 80 points. King Henrik earned his 31st win and had 24 saves on the day. Goals were also scored by Fredrik Sjostrom and Nik Antropov who has three goals in six games since being acquired from Toronto. (photo courtesy of yahoo sports)
